Letter of Suitability Request

At special moments in our lives we are asked to become Godparents for the Sacrament of Baptism or Sponsors for the Sacrament of Confirmation. In taking on this important responsibility in the lives of our loved ones, we ought to be already serving as a credible witness of the faith for them, living our lives as disciples of Jesus Christ. 

We are happy to provide a Letter of Suitability for parishioners who want to serve as a Godparent or Confirmation Sponsor in another parish, given they can honestly attest to the following: 
1. They are Catholic, have been confirmed, and are currently attending Mass weekly. 
2. They are at least sixteen years of age.
3. They lead a life of faith in harmoney with the function they are undertaking and have the intention of undertaking this function. 
4. They are not the parents of the child. 
5. They are not bound by a legitimetely declared or inflicted canonical penalty. 

If the Godparent/Sponsor meets these requirements please fill out the Letter of Suitabilty Request Form and drop it off at the parish office or email to [email protected].
